Late summer 2016 Samsung released The Galaxy Note 7 and it was a fantastic device with a great update to Samsung’s user interface “Touchwiz”. Unfortunately, the Note 7 was destructive and had a massive call back and was removed from all stores shelves. Recently however, The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge just got an update that contained a lot of the features that the Note 7 had. The other big thing is that the Galaxy S line is now on Android’s latest operating system known as Nougat.
The Galaxy S models usually come out every spring, while the Note line of phones come out close to the fall. These are supposed to be different phones, aimed at different people. However, Samsung likes to make the next phone always better than the last one no matter which line of phones they are working on next. So the people who just got one phone a few months ago usually get a little upset when it’s already inferior. The other thing that is usually strange is how the last phone that came out won’t get some of the updates or features that come with the new phone. That’s why it’s actually a relatively big deal that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge got an update that contained a lot of the things that the Note 7 came with. This begs a question though, will be continue to get these updates for the latest Galaxy S phones and the latest Galaxy Note phones?
